Stephanie Gräfin Bruges von Pfuel




After graduating from high school Landheim Schondorf am Ammersee she studied forest sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, which she left in 1988 with a degree as a graduate engineer. In the following years she worked as an employee of her father and was after his death in October 1991 sole heir of the family estate, which in addition to large forests and the dilapidated Renaissance castle Schloss Tüßling from 1583 belonged. In 1992, she initiated the renovation of the house solely with the help of private funds.

Since 2003, she has been the honorary ambassador for the SOS Children's Villages and sponsored the SOS Children's Villages Bogotá (Colombia) and St. Petersburg (Russia). In 2008 she was patron of the SOS sponsorship weeks. She visited SOS Children's Villages in Austria, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Uganda and Morocco. With the online petition of the SOS Children's Villages worldwide in 2016, she was involved in the special protection of refugee children.

Since 1996 she has been a member of the market town council Tüßling for the CSU. In 1999 she was elected to the committee of the Bavarian Forest Owners Association, in 2000 on the Advisory Board of the Bavarian Landowners Association. Since 1998 she is appointed honorary judge at the Social Court of Munich. In March 2011, she was elected with 11 to 6 votes Deputy Mayor of the market Tüßling. With just under 82 percent of the vote, she won the mayoral election in March 2014. Since 1st May 2014 she is mayor of Tüßling. In December 2018, she announced that she would no longer run for mayor in 2020, and that she would no longer be mandated by the local council and district council. [11]

In 2002, she appeared in a commercial for coffee roaster Eduscho. In 2005 she hosted the program Once in a lifetime in the program of the MDR. She has repeatedly been a guest on political talk shows, such as hard but fair (April 2009), Anne Will (June 2009) and Günther Jauch (May 2015). In 2007, her autobiography appeared, if so, yes.
